What is the accuracy of the Oura Ring?

Wearables differ in placement, sensors used, and how they process data. For the most consistent and relevant information, it's best to follow the trends and changes over time recorded by your Oura Ring in your Oura app, rather than comparing your Oura results to those of other wearables.

Can I wear my Oura Ring in the pool, saunas, or ice baths?

The Oura Ring is waterproof up to 100 meters, so you can wear it in the shower, while swimming, or during water activities like snorkeling. However, we do not recommend wearing it while scuba diving or leaving it in water for more than 12 hours. Chlorine will not damage your ring.

The Oura Ring's operating temperature range is between -10 and 14°C. You can wear your Oura Ring safely in the shower, hot tubs, saunas, ice baths, and cryotherapy chambers. However, prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (below -20°C or above 60°C) may damage the battery.

The Oura Membership gives you access to all the features of the Oura app and provides access to detailed insights and personalized advice. Without a membership, you will only be able to use certain features of the Oura Ring.

How do I choose the right Oura Ring size?

We recommend using an Oura Ring sizing kit before selecting your Oura Ring size. The sizing kit includes plastic test rings that match the Oura Ring sizes, which differ slightly from standard ring sizes (note: we do not offer half sizes).

To ensure accurate measurements, wear the test ring for at least 24 hours, including while you sleep, before ordering your size. If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller one for the best fit. For more information, visit our Sizing Page.
